Impact Fees Overview

Impact Fees are authorized by the State of Georgia through Georgia Law.

Douglas County, nor the cities within Douglas County do not currently have impact fees for development.

Only Cherrokee County has implemented county-wide impact fees in Georgia.

The Douglas County Water and Sewer Authority has implemented an impact fee upon new connections.

The City of Douglasville is considering impact fees for development within city limits.

The Douglas County Board of Commissioners is considering impact fees within Douglas County.
