Greg,
Why are you surprised by the opposition for the ’07 SPLOST? Government should not get into the entertainment business. If there is money to be made there the private sector will provide what is needed. With the BOC track record on spending on special interest projects they need to really concentrate on trying to repair our infrastructure and spending our money wisely.
Did you know that there was never any independent study done for the special interest projects regards needs and the expense of O/M? Yes, the pork projects would be nice, but at what cost to us, the taxpayers?
